In this last and final chapter of the first book, Katniss, Peeta, and the crew are all headed back to District 12. Katniss and Peeta walk down the train tracks and talk. Peeta misunderstands what Katniss says and thinks that she doesn't really love him when she does. They then decide to show the lovers thing one more time for the audience. And that's the end of book one.
